1. Inter American Scout Conference boosts Scouting in the Region

Ciudad del Este, Paraguay - The 28th Inter American Scout Conference which was held in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, concluded on November 26th, 2022, after bringing together representatives from various National Scout Organizations in the Americas. The conference, held in a hybrid format, aimed to boost the growth and development of Scouting programs in the region.

The Inter American Scout Conference serves as a vital platform for National Scout Organizations in the region to come together and collaborate towards improving the quality and reach of Scouting programs for the benefit of young people across the Americas.

The Inter American Scout Committee, responsible for overseeing Scouting activities in the region, was elected during the conference. Several Guyanese candidates were nominated for positions on the committee.

One of the key topics discussed during the conference was program development and youth engagement in Scouting activities. Delegates shared their experiences and best practices, highlighting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Scouting programs in their respective countries.
